We travelled to Israel a few days ago to visit our families after two years. Then two nights ago the whole thing with Iran started. We're stuck here. Last night a residential building a street away from us was directly hit by a missile. Probably the scariest moment in my entire life.

I have about 30TB to move from my old Nas to my new Nas. My 1gbe have me an average speed of 66MB/s, so I got two 10gig cards and a DAC cable. Assembled it in both computers, booted everything back, the two machines are directl connected. The speed? 40MB/s. FML.

So many people I used to respect back in the Twitter days have gone so far off the deep end and have the dumbest takes about every single issue. Minimizing my social media exposure was one of the best things I've done. Highly recommended

Had lunch with a Lebanese-American friend of mine today. We talked about middle eastern politics (And food), he told me that he wish his dad (a shiite Muslim) could have such an open conversation like the one we had. I hope future generations will be like my friend and I.

@bonkers Continuing this war is unsustainable for the Israeli society. The army is stretched thin, the economy is heavily impacted by that and even the freed hostages are saying that at this point military pressure brings nothing but abuse and additional endangerment for the hostages. The entire leadership of Hamas is dead. This simply isn't sustainable

@bonkers At this point the war isn't releasing the hostages which is what about 70% are interested in - bringing back the hostages and stopping the war. Moreover, Netanyahu is under 3 different indictments (In Israeli court) and shouldn't be anywhere near the helm of the country. He's putting Israeli soldiers at risk, the hostages, and innocent Palestinians. Fuck this guy.

As an Israeli, an American, and a Zionist, I personally think Netanyahu belongs in prison. End the fucking war already.

@ahpadt @paco For some reason it never gets mounted once I reboot the system and I have about 60TB of stuff there which is why I need to decommission this server asap (other than the fact that it's insanely energy inefficient).
