I recently saw some YouTube videos by Don Andrews on painting skin in watercolor. He uses a cool wash and then goes over it wet into wet to paint the warm skin tones. It looked so good I've been testing it out in my own watercolors

@Rianq yeah I agree! I think this style could definitely work for like a VN style game or really any game that has character portraits!

Out of sheer curiosity I wanted to see how my previous watercolor head would look as a character portrait for a video game, so I did a quick mockup in Krita and honestly? I think it looks pretty good! Kinda Atlus-y
