What does it mean to honor the nightingale in a landscape that has become increasingly hostile to their flourishing? Join us in London for a special film screening of “The Nightingale’s Song,” by Adam Loften and Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee, featuring folk singer Sam Lee. eventbrite.com/cc/shifting-lan

@druid yes, I find it sad too, I know that he deteriorated badly but had such an incredible voice when on form. I saw him at the Derngate in Northampton. Impressed you know exactly when you saw him. I must have the ticket somewhere.

@druid enjoying the recommendations found him through singing with and was lucky to hear him live in about 1981/1982 on a good night how was he doing when you saw him?

Visited yesterday - took my 86 year old Mum to some churches she’d longed to see that are often closed or hard to get to. Surprise bonus where was a minister and there is a room kept as he would have known it (key mentions in ‘s book Jerusalem) as well as the gorgeous carvings inside . We were well and truly in the johncoulthart.com/feuilleton/2

@fkamiah17@toot.wales they obviously have no idea what the Proms series actually is - it represented a lot of composers and musicians from many countries including the uk whose ability to tour has now been made incredibly difficult since B****t (that’s composers still alive btw 😊).
