For today’s #StandingStoneSunday here’s a photo from last October’s visit to the amazing Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis in #Scotland. This is a view of the chambered tomb which was added later after the main stones were erected. Amazingly the site was buried under two meters (six feet) of peat for several thousand years before the stones and site were rediscovered in 1857. It is a fantastic place to visit. #standingstones #stonecircles #neolithic #OhCon

Every time my daughter and I take a trip to the sister-in-law in lovely #whitstable, we pass this table on our walk from the station. Gorgeous little plants. We always buy something. I’d love to know the story behind it. Does someone grow all these from seed? #seaside #cactus #succulents #gardening

Recently I visited the relatively new V&A East Storehouse just to the west of Stratford’s #olympicpark . It’s a fantastic place and it’s free to get in. You can see from the photo how vast it is. It really is like the warehouse in the last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark. I heartily recommend a visit if you are within striking distance of #london There’s a special room devoted to #davidbowie and I’ll post some of those treasures next. #museum

At the BFI last night for a #Film Theory evening class on the films of David Lynch. Here’s their lovely poster for their January Lynchie season. #DavidLynch #Lynch This week would have been his 80th birthday. His passing is a huge loss to creativity. His films and characters live on.
