People who moan about Europe not having a Google or Meta. Because of regulation and shit and because (of course) we in Europe don't like success.

It's always funny, because to me, the system is working. I don't want an unregulatable, too-big-to-fail hot mess of a company in Europe.

This may not be 100% intentional and I am not saying that EU regulations are without fault.

I just become increasingly suspicious of people who advocate for slashing them.

Mein Bereich startet an der @zlb_berlin ein Moonshot-Projekt des @voebb, um die Rolle von Bibliotheken im Internet komplett neu zu denken. Dafür schreiben wir eine Stelle an der Schnittstelle von UX, Design und Frontend aus. Es geht weniger darum hier die App-Welt neu zu erfinden, sondern eine bestehende open source Infrastruktur (Discourse) konsequent auf das Projektziel hin umzukrempeln.
Die Stelle ist komplex, aber auch tüchtig mit „purpose“ aufgeladen.

Microsoft hätte am liebsten, dass alte Computer mit Ende Oktober 2025 (dem Ende von Windows 10) weg geworfen werden, nur, weil sie nicht "Windows 11 kompatibel sind".

Das ist natürlich komplett unnötig, denn Linux läuft normalerweise super auf diesen Geräten.
