The magma intrusion beneath Grindavik, Svartsengi, and the Blue Lagoon of Iceland has finally broken through to the surface through a 4 km long fissure with lava fountains. Geologist friends, #Perseverance just drove over vein-like crumbly looking rocks. They have a *very* high albedo when crushed/cleaned from dust.
Could this be something like gypsum or chalk?

The image has been color calibrated and white balanced to the calibration target of the rover. This should be close to what the human eye would see standing on Mars.

What appears to be a many meters long vein like structure with three ends meeting in one place can be seen in the view. The rocks look very crumbly and in one place where the rover rolled over one it appears as a very bright spot.
