Let’s learn the difference between the State Pension and Workplace Pension in the UK 🇬🇧

👉 State Pension
A regular payment from the government once you reach State Pension age, based on your National Insurance record.

👉 Workplace Pension
A pension scheme set up by your employer. Both you and your employer contribute, and you get tax relief too.

💡 Combine both for a more comfortable retirement! 😊

📢 Important Update!

Did you know that the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage have increased from today? Make sure to check your payslips for any mistakes!

It’s important to know your rights when it comes to fair pay. Employers must pay at least the National Minimum Wage—it’s the law! If you think you’re being underpaid, make sure to talk with your manager or employer.

👉 Did you know you cannot work more than 48 hours a week on average - normally averaged over 17 weeks?
This law is sometimes called the ‘working time directive’ or ‘working time regulations’. 🧑‍⚖️

You can choose to work more by opting out of the 48-hour week.

If you’re under 18, you cannot work more than 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week.

Of course there are some exceptions… Learn more about this on GOV.UK🔗 by searching ‘Maximum weekly working hours’

Great news for UK side hustlers! 🚀

The government is raising the tax return threshold for side hustles from £1,000 to £3,000, meaning up to 300,000 people may no longer need to file a Self Assessment tax return.

This includes anyone earning extra from selling online, dog-walking, gardening, taxi driving, or content creation. Plus, an estimated 90,000 people won’t need to report their income at all!

These changes are part of a wider plan to simplify tax reporting and make HMRC more efficient.
