I'm still broken from this, as I'm quite close with all of my family.
My wife and I had a son late 2023 and I'm very happy my grandmother got to meet him before she passed, but it still hurts to know she isn't here with us now. She didn't get to meet my nephew who appeared 4/1.

Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
Okay back to being fun lol. Besides the corporate sponsor xFinity popping up pretty frequently, this movie is a blast. Dumb, over the top, reminiscent of old 80s action movies. Best one of the three so far. Cassandra Scerbo returns in all her objectified glory, and is honestly the best character in the film. Frankie Muniz bites it really fast but was a cool addition. Also Hasselhoff. Mother fucking Hasselhoff.
Sharknado 2: The Second One. Okay so the first one was dumb funny/serious shark storm. This is Celebrity Cameo The Movie. Honestly it's jarring whenever they pop up, which is nearly literally EVERY scene. I know know it's a movie about a shark storm - but it really takes me out of it. Also Matt Lauer and Jared Fogle. Bleh. Much weaker than the first. And Fin is suddenly this shark killing badass? Weird. Much weaker than the first. Just seems soulless. Idk

Sharknado 1. Did you know there were 6? Yeah I didn't either. What can be said. It's so bad, it's good. Really strange seeing Tara Reid in this, I can only ever see her as the girl from American Pie. If you haven't seen it at this point definitely do so.
My son is nearly 2 months old. I got 10 minutes into the maternity ward episode of House (S01E04) and had to skip it.
My uncle had his son around the time Pet Semetary came out, and walked out of the theater when the "truck scene" came on. I always though that was a little ridiculous, but I get it now.
I absolutely adore being his father, but he's seriously hampering my love of media. Worth.

The Super Mario Bros movie. Wow. After seeing the train wreck that was the 1993 release, I was forced to go in with low expectations. I was blown away. The in-your-face and subtle reference throughout the film are great, the voice acting was actually really well done, the animation is endearing and clean, and it's a good time from start to finish. If you care at all about Mario Bros, watch this film.

4:50 AM on Halloween, 21 inches, 7 lbs 10 oz, my son entered the world completely healthy and honestly with very little fuss.
My wife is a goddamn rockstar and I could not be more proud of her.
The Rookie (so far up through season 2) has perfected the art of the cold open. It's a really fun show and anything with Nathan Fillion in it is worth a watch. Definitely watch it.
@registrert honestly I put off playing the game a good bit while CDPR got their shit together. I bought it after finishing this view of Edgerunners.
They vibe really really well. It isn't a really long series so it isn't a major commitment. Should absolutely watch it.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Hot damn. A wild ride from start to finish. The setting is perfectly dystopian. The art style is incredible. The score is sublime. The story is too notch. The characters are varied and well written.
If you have time at all for this series, make the right decision and watch this. You will not be disappointed.
I've watched it three times and I'm certain I'll come back for a fourth viewing.

Watched Talk To Me last night I have to hand it to the film while not perfect actually shook me.
Kinda hit home for me with the premise and the main character`s drive to wanna speak to a dead relative.
It is non stop and the pacing is so on point and really its only one scene that was kinda meh hence why I think its not perfect.
Their is a scene that hit me so hard as it is foreshadowed in the beginning but the way it happens and is shot was so well done.
Go check out Talk To Me it is a good horror movie which is rare in this day and age and an original concept to boot.
Ah The Mist. What can't be said about this film?
The setting makes you feel trapped, the entities and humans make you constantly feel paranoid and alone, and in black and white the visuals are absolutely top notch.
That said, this film is also available in color. Do not watch the color version. The monsters (especially the tentacles) look awful. Though it was meant to be viewed in B&W so it gets a pass.

Ah Diary of the Dead. It's... A movie? Honestly it being a Romero flick I was expecting more. I understand the premise and themes, it's a good commentary on misinformation even for 2008, but is it a good horror film?
Eh. I didn't love it and found myself bored quickly with it. The characters are one dimensional, the acting is kind of abysmal. The only saving grace is some of the shots are good. Maybe I'm spoiled for choice.
