@fleg It’s easy to get started if you are not tech-literate. Or if your crowd is very small. And since many folks use those services already it’s easy for them to onboard. Once your community grew, your trapped. Been there, done that.

And there are many great communities that organically grew around a core of non-tech folks. I would not want to discredit them for not being nerdy enough to selfhost Rocket.chat or matrix or sth alike …

@irgendwienet @levampyre Ich bin irgendwann mal auf die App „Körbchen“ gestoßen, denn da kann ich nach Zutaten suchen. Und Sammlungen anlegen (Festlich, Für Kids, Wasauchimmer) und ich habe Tags. Und Titel. Dadurch hat sich das für mich als super erwiesen, da ich – auch handschriftlich – ganz schlecht drin bin, eine Ordnung beizubehalten. Lange geht es gut, dann ist Chaos. Besagter App ist es egal, ich finde Rezepte trotzdem wieder. So oder so: Viel Spaß beim Sammeln!

Wirklich, wirklich hörenswert. Auch im Hinblick auf den Skandal im Bundestag vor zwei Tagen. Wissenschaftlich lassen sich bei #migration ganz andere Phänomene beobachten, als in der Politik diskutiert. Beispiel: Was wenn Migration eine (notwendige) Folge von guter Wirtschaft ist? Oder: (Fast) Alle schlecht bezahlten Jobs machen Migranten, die Menschen im Land würden nicht zu den Konditionen arbeiten und auch rechte Regierungen geben da dem Druck der Wirtschaft nach.

@simonhoeher makes me remember this (old) comment by Obama. Might be a stretch but isn’t this being passive and destructive at the same time? Feeling that remote finger pointing (or at that time retweeting) is enough of activism. And by that sometimes taking away the agency of those folks being cancelled for actually doing stuff.
