a green heron on some grass dotted with little yellow flowers. they have bright yellow legs, a reddish brown body that is rather round in this shot. they have a little blue cap on top of their head. the highlight of the shot though is their beak which is slightly ajar so you can see their long sideways arced pink tongue peaking out from both sides. on either side of their beak are bright orange eyes with bright yellow patches connecting them to the beak

A fuzzy little pair of baby barn swallows at the reservoir yesterday. 🥹

Heute melde ich (@AnjaWeinberger) mich noch einmal hier bei Euch. Vor einigen Jahren habe ich für die Leiermann-Stadtschreiber einen Blogtext zu den Calvaires in der Bretagne geschrieben. Mich rühren diese manchmal ganz einfachen, manchmal wahnsinnig aufwändigen Calvaires immer sehr an. Auf dem Foto ist Notre Dame de Tronoën zu sehen.

@tondekruyff Goedemorgen Ton. Dingen met de dakgoot hebben prioriteit en zijn altijd belangrijker dan social media dingen. Voor mij is het de eerste poging om Gospodinov te lezen en ik kan er erg van genieten hoewel genieten niet het goede woord is, want het is griezelig en angstaanjagend actueel wat de terugkeer naar het nationalisme en het verlangen naar de oude tijd betreft.

@tondekruyff Goedemorgen Ton. Het wachten op de geiten heeft dus een einde. Na 15 jaar nu in de Franse alpen, werken met/voor toeristen (dat zou dus never ever in me opkomen), enfin, living the dream noemt Fenton het. Voorbijganger en ontzettend bevoorrecht, dat is hij en dat zijn wij ook. Ik lees nu Georgi Gospodinov's Time shelter (in het Duits) en vind het buitengewoon goed. Fijne zondag en groetjes aan Annet en de poezenbende!
