Antisemitismus & das Schweigen der Institution Schule

Jüdische Schüler_innen in öffentlichen Schulen sind seit dem 7. Oktober 2023 verstärkt von Angriffen, antisemitischem Mobbing und verbaler Gewalt betroffen. Dabei geht es aktuell vor allem um israelbezogenen Antisemitismus, der allerdings auf den Elementen und Ausdrucksformen des „traditionellen“ christlichen, völkischen und nationalsozialistischen Antisemitismus aufbaut.

Lehrer_innen und die Institution Schule reagieren allzu oft nicht oder nicht angemessen auf diese Übergriffe. Auch wenn einzelne engagierte Lehrer_innen wichtige Verbündete für Betroffene sind, sind Schulen insgesamt alles andere als sichere und unterstützende Orte für jüdische Schüler_innen.

In der Veranstaltung wird aus einem Forschungsprojekt berichtet, das sich mit diesen Erfahrungen beschäftigte und daraus Handlungsempfehlungen für Lehrer_innen und Schulverwaltungen entwickelt hat.
