I'm a Dutch hobbyist photographer, Linux user, FOSS enthusiast and loner. I shoot what catches my eye and gravitate towards black and white.

The photos posted are from my, usually quite early and often times quite long, morning walks or bicycle rides.

All taken with either a digital full frame, digital compact four thirds or, on occasion, a 35mm film camera.

Photos and edits are mine. I do not use AI in any way, shape or form.

b&w - A tightly framed photo of the De Kroon and Wijnhaven residential towers in downtown The Hague. The building on the left, De Kroon, features a repetition and multitude of floor-to-ceiling windows and its design is inspired by the Chicago skyscrapers from the early 1900s. The building on the right is interspersed with what seems like randomly placed balconies.

Yeah, came across that one yesterday. One of the many posts by @vulpy that I've favoured.

Yeah, this one also put a smile on my face. Too bad I didn't have more time to frame it a bit better.

b&w - A simple, three object image, that shows a bright white multi story residential building, which is almost dwarfed by a dark streetlamp. A single cloud is caught between the the building and the streetlamp.

Rainy morning

colour - Side view of an escalator leading to an elevated tram platform. Taken on an early, rainy, and still dark morning. Most of the scene is illuminated by lightly coloured orange nitrate lamps on the ground floor. Some white light is coming from the platform above and accentuates certain areas in the scene.

The former town hall of Rijswijk seen from the ground floor, looking upwards. None of the windows show any decoration or personalisation, emphasising that it is currently vacant. The modern, light-coloured and vertically symmetrical building contrasts nicely with the dark sky.

It's part of the underground, dual level parking garage at 'At The Park' (former Shell complex), very close to train station Rijswijk.

Not sure, did not walk up to it, but it sure looked like it from where i took the shot.

This building complex has lots of nooks and crannies, this might help a bit:

The 'Deep Shade' image a few posts down was also shot around there.

Nah..... 😅

To be honest: I haven't looked at the Willemsbrug from a photographers point of view. Maybe worth it, those square topped pylons might make for an interesting (b&w?) detail shot.
