i think a fundamental problem with "AI art", beyond obvious ethical stuff, is that it just has the whole purpose backwards. a prompt box asks "what do you want?" but how do you know how to respond to that question? i feel like the conscious, thoughtful act of making something yourself is the process by which you arrive at the answer. the more you shortcut your involvement in that process, the more you will find the results are wrong somehow. unsatisfying, distant, irrelevant

I am trying to find information on a piece of music. I believe it was made at San Francisco Tape Music Center. The piece used an earpiece to convey instructions from a tape to the performer on stage. I believe it was Cello. The composer may have been Ramon Sender? The cellist's first name may have been Carol? I may have all of the details wrong.

Does anybody know anything about any music which has used an earpiece to convey instructions, ever?

This is maybe the clip that showcases the #JI stuff in a clearer way (much more "subtle" in those more newly produced stuff, even if I think the productions in those are absolutely amazing).

If you haven't checked out Maddie Ashman yet I could really recommend it! "Avant-pop" (her description) with Microtonal harmonies (JI).

For me it kind of reconnected me with my pre-sickness JI interest, but packaged in these beutiful songs , that I could more "easier" take in (Oh, I hate that term, but hope you bear with me for using it, since Ive havent been able to listen to much music/sounds at all these 5-6 years).
