THIS IS ONE I SEE ALL THE TIME THAT DRIVES ME CRAZY.

I *constantly* see this figure that appears to justify T****'s high approval on his handling of the border:

"There were just over 22,000 with attempting to cross the border in February/March... down from over 378,000 the year before."

This makes it sound like nothing happened between those two dates.

By the time left office 11 months later, that number had plunged to just over 100K.

In February, Trump had only been in office a few weeks.

The dramatic decline in border crossings didn't just happen over night. Biden cut that number by nearly 2/3rds his final 11 months in office.

Trump reduced the number from 100K to 22K only by going full fascist, shutting down the border, and ignoring Due Process.

I HAVE NEVER AGREED WITH MARC SHORT (Pence's fmr Chief of Staff) BEFORE, but he was absolutely right for once on :

"When Jeff threatened to put the 'increased cost due to T****'s " next to each price on Amazon, T**** hit the roof, called Bezos, and demanded he stop. WHY? I thought this was EXACTLY what T**** wanted? Let people know how much imported products cost to encourage them to buy products ."

It PROVES this has NEVER been about "creating jobs".

is nothing but 's (disastrous) interview of where she let him lie repeatedly with minimal push back, and actually say things like "military force to take is a possibility" & "all the good parts are from the & all the bad parts are [from] the ", while he accuses the Media of "hiding 's mental decline for years."

The man is and they treat him like he's rational.

Entire episode: "My EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with President Trump." Like it's a coup to obtain an interview with the most unbelievably narcissistic man on the planet.

Around Conservatives, I prefer the label "Liberal" b/c most think people who call themselves Progressive "know" that is a "bad" thing.

I use the term proudly to show them that calling one selves a "Liberal" is nothing to be ashamed of.

(Remember, these are the same Luddites who use & interchangeably... even though the former *causes* the latter.)

"Why don't they (stop this madness)?"

BECAUSE IT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT!

"In chaos, you can steal." - Randi Rhodes.

Kill off the poor so you don't have to "support" them anymore.

"You could reduce violent crime by aborting every *black* baby in the country. That would be despicable thing to do, but it would work." - Reagan's Education Secretary Bill "Place'yer Bets" Bennett.

It's what they WANT. 🀬

People don't seem to realize just how Nucking lazy is. He doesn't ACTUALLY want to DO the work. He just wants to be The Boss who farms out every "boring" job so he can play golf every day, reap the praise when things go right (still waiting), with a convenient scapegoat when things go wrong.

In his first term, Jared was supposed to do it all. Second term, he had for that.

Now that is leaving, he's going to pile it all on .

In first month of his first term, the man who campaigned on how "weak" Hillary Clinton was, had to travel the streets of Italy in a golf cart while every other world leader walked. All the jobs Trump said Jared would be in charge of after being elected to his first term.

...which in this case would be... what? The USPO?

There's a reason Ford doesn't advertise in East Timor.

is a "direct to consumer" retailer. There is no "importer". The "importer" in this case is the *consumer*. If they must raise their price to cover the , then there will be a (dramatic) corresponding loss of sales.

If the cost of doing business in America (advertising/etc) is more than they make selling fewer products, then it would actually COST THEM MONEY to continue doing business in the U.S. to a substantially smaller market.

Get it?

@nf3xn
Actually, if 's would result in *losing* money on every sale... and the alternative being raising prices and costing them more than doing business in the U.S., then *yes*, they ARE being stopped from continuing to do business in the U.S..

If they want those customers back (and they do), it makes more sense to frustrate American consumers into evoking change, then to leave them scratching their heads.

had the right idea.

Remember before 's first term, he was "promising" to hand off every complicated (boring) job to his unelected SIL Jared while he went golfing all day. Public push-back stopped that.

But in his 2nd term, he did it again by putting in charge of everything.

Now, is leaving. So he's dumping all these jobs on . And will (attempt to) do both jobs until someone complains and forces to replace .

If had no interest in selling to the American public, they wouldn't have developed an app and spent tens of thousands (more?) on advertising (I can't open an "ad-supported" app on my phone w/o being bombarded with Temu ads.

If you think the loss of these sales isn't concerning them, you're nuts.

I think they DO care about those lost sales.

And I think frustrating American consumers by making sure they know who to blame can be an effective tool.

I've lived in Texas for most of my 57 years. I've heard how racists justify their racism… and make it sound "reasonable":

"We just want equity!"

It's unfair for there to be both a "Miss America" pageant that doesn't exclude blacks, but a "BLACK Miss America" pageant that excludes whites. What if they held a "White Miss America" pageant?

Sounds reasonable. But then they go further and point to ANYTHING that defines people as anything but equal as "reverse racism/sexism". πŸ€”

Right Wingers couch their racism by disguising it as "equity". Showing favoritism (in an unequal world) is itself discrimination they claim.

The is reaping praise from his xenophobic hoards b/c he promised to protect them from (brown) illegal bringing "crime & drugs" into the U.S..

But who do we see them going after instead? The low-hanging fruit of people showing up for their immigration hearings; rounding up UNADJUDICATED people who were rounded up and tossed in jail for the crime of "protesting while brown"; pregnant mothers (quick! before the rugrat in born on U.S. soil).

Stunned child at a Trump rally.
