Poussée par une morbide procrastination d’acier à la veille de rendre un projet pédagogique (demain. Argh), j’ai lu plusieurs articles sur des “filles de” — la fille "secrète" de Freddie Mercury, celle d’Elon Musk, celle de Brad Pitt.

Et ce qui m’a frappée immédiatement, ce ne sont pas les articles eux-mêmes (souvent vagues, d’un flou cosmique de surinterprétation), mais les tout premiers commentaires sous chaque publication.

Toujours les mêmes questions mécaniques et voraces :
— Elle va toucher combien ?
— Est-ce qu’elle a droit à l’héritage ? Non parce que moi, à la place du père, je la radierais.
— Elle devrait renoncer, vu ce qu’elle dit sur son père !
— Si elle renonce au nom, elle doit renoncer à l’argent.
— Encore une qui crache dans la soupe mais veut garder la fortune.

Alors même que ces jeunes femmes ne réclament rien — ni fortune, ni tribune, ni pardon, ni souvent même l’article lui-même — on leur projette des intentions qu’elles n’ont jamais exprimées.

On exige qu’elles renoncent, ou on les soupçonne de tout vouloir garder.
C’est un tribunal populaire du compte en banque, où tout — gestes, silences, choix de prénom — est jugé à travers le prisme obsessionnel de l’héritage.

Et à aucun putain de moment, la question de l’affect n’est abordée autrement que sous cet angle : celui de l’argent récompense, du manque tarifé.

Et comme ce sont des filles, la pénalité est double.
Elles sont présumées vénales. On ne leur accorde ni oubli, ni autonomie, juste un rôle figé : l’héritière suspecte, ou la renégate ingrate.

C’est révélateur.
De ce que nous projetons sur les filles.
De ce que nous refusons de questionner dans la famille, la célébrité, le patrimoine.

Et de cette fascination très sale que nous entretenons pour les successions.

@Sustainable2050 There will be many more disasters like this in future, caused by human behaviour worldwide, over many, many years. People are not prepared to connect the dots, even though they could.
Flying, meat consumption, going on cruises, driving around, buying stuff - that all has negative consequences worldwide, over decades and centuries. But people are too entitled and selfish to want to change, which will consequently lead to our own demise, including life on the rest of the planet.
