Protest is not the thing, it is the symbol of the thing. The thing we want is power. And we build power through relationships.
This is a much harder way. Capitalism and big tech have taught us to replace relationships with money, paid help from gig workers, career accomplishments and, for that last bit of human connection they can't quite erase, one (1) romantic partner.
In a world like that building true solidarity and friendship with your annoying neighbor sounds pointless. But it's not.

Did you know that 0 on the pain scale is supposed to mean, “no pain at all?” And that that is the normal amount of pain to be in?
It’s surprisingly common to underrate the severity of pain we experience! Take a look at the Mankoski Pain Scale, and especially look at the relative effectiveness of pain medication for different levels.

The street that my mum lives in is a one-way street, but wasn't marked as such on #Google Maps. This caused many drivers to drive the wrong way. I have tried to edit it on Google Maps (there is such functionality), but to no avail. No matter how often I submitted a change (with photos of street signs!), Google said "Sorry, we could not verify it".
Solution: Edit the street on #OpenStreetMap! A few months after I did this, Google seems to have stolen the data, as it regularly does, and now the street is correct in both datasets!

@foxtrotluna just reading the title made me think of someone I know who is allergic to food coloring. Nearly any processed foods they can’t eat. I’m glad this isn’t a true story about that problem getting worse
