I could never get into #Fallout, having tried #Fallout3, #FalloutNewVegas, and #Fallout4. I love the themes and the idea of it, and I’ve enjoyed other RPGs, but somehow they always seem to lose my interest before a quarter or half of the plot has advanced. I wonder if I’d have more luck with Fallout 1 and 2…

Been dealing with my gaming PC freezing on startup - pre-UEFI - for several minutes for the last year or so. Assumed it was some misconfiguration but haven't looked into it because I only actually boot it maybe once every few months (as it's always on).

Well, turns out it was a SSD that had died (which I knew of), but it was still plugged in, and apparently UEFI was getting hung up trying to initialize it (despite it not being in the boot order) and taking forever to time out.

Disconnected the SSD and now we're back to boot times in the seconds :)
