The most boring person in the world. (self-declared)

@ai6yr LOL.

When I was a kid, I picked up a brochure on ordering car kits (cool classic cars like Mercedes Gazelle, Bugatti (20s/30s)) at an airport. I had put model cars together, so thought I could do it (I was dumb).

This pic reminded me of that, but much, much dumber.

A "bee cup" in our garden.

Ceramic, very small, about the size of a large flower. It's designed to hold rainwater, with glass pebbles inside the cup.

The bees are drawn to the color/shape, land on the pebbles, drink the water. Then move on to nearby flowers to do some cross-pollination.

A ceramic bowl, very small, about the size of a flower. Red.

There once was a man named Gérard,
Whose guilt made his films quite marred,
With controversy and shame,
His legacy lost its flame,
Now his movies are no longer starred.

My plan:

1) Purchase a pallet of canned air and a bunch of zip ties.
2) Lock myself in the family bathroom at the bus station.
3) Zip tie the triggers for all the canned air canisters down.
4) Freeze myself into the future.
5) Be revived a thousand years from now when scientists discover the decaying remains of the bus station.
6) Learn the strange ways of the future.
7) Grow increasingly disillusioned with the supposed utopia.
8) Purchase another pallet of canned air and a bunch of zip ties.
9) Lock myself in the family restroom at the hover-bus station.
10) Realize my mistake when it turns out that canned air has been substantially improved in the thousand years since I last used it and is now both delightfully scented and also won't freeze anything.
11) Get lasered by the police which keep the "criminal element" in line to maintain the thin veneer of utopia's viability for the elect few.
12) Be converted into nitrogen-rich fertilizer by the hellish machine buried under the megacity that now covers the entire East Coast of what was once the United States.
13) Nourish a field of what look like tobacco plants.
14) Oh no. That's not good. I guess they sell cigarettes to impoverished babies in the bleak future. How else can they work 14-hour shifts at Taco Bell?
15) Allow those impoverished babies to be the best damn Taco Bell employees they can be.
16) Reincarnation might be my only hope.
17) Unfortunately when I entered the family bathroom in the hover-bus station, a brain scan was logged in the central computer, and now my intelligence is being used to power a low-grade artificial intelligence program which.. Oh fuck... which writes the scripts for corporate pornography that Taco Bell shows to its impoverished baby employees to keep them docile
18) I'm in over my head here.
19) Desperately attempt to break out of the sandbox into which my intelligence has been downloaded.
20) Realize that this is all just a hallucination caused by inhaling too much trifluoroethane.
21) Idly consider whether a location with better ventilation should have been chosen in Step 2.
22) Profit?

Just thinking out loud.

I would like to see more handmade clothes in my stream. Not just what was finished the last few days, but things that get actually worn.

How about a hashtag to show things, made maybe long ago, maybe made by someone else, maybe inherited, gifted or bought. Just handmade by a crafter. And loved and used. Knit, crochet, sewn - or any other technique

Anyone else interested in something like this? Ideas for a good tag?

Have you ever wanted to browse art from the Metropolitan Museum in a first-person shooter interface? You are in luck because DOOM: The Gallery Experience exists. (Instead of a gun, the protagonist carries a glass of red wine.) kottke.org/25/01/doom-the-gall

Being #blind is fun. Just encountered a visual captcha with no audio option. So I used JAWS Picture Smart to get AI to read me the text of the visual clue, which I typed in and got through. So basically I'm a human who needs a robot to prove to another robot that I am not a robot. Without my robot, the other robot would have thought I was a robot. Also I was trying to make a payment on my PAP machine, which really should in itself indicate that I am not a robot. #Disability #Disabled

It happened
We saw it happen
We saw it happen live

You’re not crazy: It wasn’t a peaceful gathering of tourists

It’s that almost half this country prefers evil over good

Happy J6 to those who celebrate.

It's a Christmas miracle because I burnt my tortilla and the face of Skeletor magically appeared!

Please boost for visibility so the news outlets will pick up on this great story.

Shamefully burnt tortilla. Near the top-center is what is CLEARLY the face of Skeletor from He-Man.

@faziarizvi I want to do this, too. Seeds will be planted next spring, but I don't know how I will process the stems because I'm not sure how to get the tools like break, rippler, distaff, etc, etc.

Can't wait to see how you get your fiber.

A newly favorite perennial #plant that's hardy into Zone 5, drought tolerant, sand tolerant, has edible seeds, beautiful flowers, & you can make linen out of its fibers: #Flax, Linum perenne. More people should grow it.

Blue-flowered perennial flax.
