Sometimes, you have to dress as a crow and go dance around a fire for funsies.
Just a drag Cryptid who is a Librarian at heart. Video games, books, and crochet are my life. So are my cats and dog.
I do book and video game reviews at www.reedfaster.com

P.S. If you've checked out *"Rites of the Hollow Moon, Vol. II"*, it's now three centuries overdue. Kindly return it before the entity bound to it finds another host.
Please be patient. My many eyes are scanning due dates, my tendrils are reshelving the ancient volumes that rearrange themselves when no one’s looking, and I am *still* trying to track down who opened the Gate in the Rare Books Room. Again.
Spooky season is peak season at the library. The candles are flickering. The books whisper when they think I’m not listening. And if you hear scratching behind the walls… no you didn’t.
Happy October, and remember:
Late returns will be *devoured.*
**📚🕯️A Message from Your Local (Eldritch) Librarian🕯️📚**
Ah… October. The veil thins. The shadows lengthen. And the library… *awakens.*
I am busier than ever, of course. The archives groan with restless tomes eager to be read—some *only* on nights with a blood moon. Patrons (mortal and otherwise) flood the aisles seeking cursed grimoires, forbidden knowledge, and seasonal cozy mysteries with just a touch of necromancy.
Amidst the prevailing global chaos, there are few delights than a video game that you have waited years to play. Even better, an indie game developed by a small team devoted to making a game worthy of the fans. Welcome to Hollow Knight: Silksong!

One more week, friends. One more week. My headspace is just shattered from all the hate going on.
Next week? My early review of Hollow Knight Silksong.
Have disgruntled kitty in a new hidey space, as a treat.
The world is feeling a bit rough right now, and my brain has, effectively, shit the bed on what to write for this week. Instead, I am going to remember to be kind to myself and curl up with this pretty kitty.
It's Friday and it is your Lucky Day!
Well, it is if you pick up Chuck Tingle's newest book, Lucky Day!
My review is here, apologies for not posting it Wednesday!

This week has entirely gotten away from me. Why is mundane life so... Mundane?
I'll be back next week with a review of Chuck Tingle's newest novel, Lucky Day!
In the meantime - window kitty!
What would you do for a starring role in a movie? What would Hollywood do to you to get a film made?
Well, Dead Take gives us a glimpse behind the curtain and brings with it a star-studded cast of voice actors such as Neil Newborn and Ben Starr. Check my review here:

The world is awful, but good indie video games are giving me life right now.
I'll be dropping a review of Dead Take on 8/13!
Check out the trailer for the game here:
As promised, a dual video game review. Children of Morta and Look Outside seem to be very different games, with some similar themes.

I dropped the ball posting last night! But this book about spaceships, AI, monsters, and found family sure doesn't!

Fiction, on occasion, should challenge us to take a hard look at the history, especially as an American. Stephen Graham Jones has a way with words that is both wonderful and horrific, and once again, he has redefined a genre, this time horror with vampires.

I will be back with my usual recommendations as soon as my mental health allows.
Meanwhile, enjoy this majestic floof.
I haven't forgotten about you!
I have moved, but a strange thing has happened.
I find myself grieving what came before and what being queer has cost me. It has made reading and playing video games difficult, because all I want to do is sleep and recover.
It isn't a bad thing to grieve what has come before. The fact is that I do feel so much better now that I am able to just be myself. But, I need just a bit more time. Thank you for bearing with me. #pridemonth #dragcryptid
Hi everyone!
I am currently working on moving, so the blog will be on hiatus until June 1st.
Medusa finally made their debut at Mother Loving Books yesterday!
Puzzle games are back on the menu, Bois!
But really, a brand new puzzle game with ton of content and plenty challenges to solve.
Check out my review of Blue Prince!

<2/2>Turns out, you were the one who was unworthy of me.
(Yeah, bad poetry is just a way to cope with sorrow.)
