I went to a new store today, saw something I was glad to see, blurted "Oh!" and waved my hands while I bounced a few times. Then I recognized what was happening, and "Oh" again! @mikejung using the CW is easy. I've used it & didn't feel silenced at all. I felt like I was being respectful of the other site users. It's one of the things that makes this site better than the one we're used to.

ie - YOU decide what's political or potentially triggering, what might lead to doom scrolling, what might cause someone harm, or even what other users might find boring (if it varies from your usual topics, etc).

I wish I had something pithy to say about #writing today, but all I can think of is how important it is, if you live in America, to #vote. I live in the South & volunteered @ polls 4 early #voting. The vitriol & misinformation are no joke. I’m terrified.

Almost everyone I saw during early voting was 30+. Young people—make yr voices heard!!!! You may think yr 1 vote doesn’t matter, but midterm elections r sometimes won by VERY small margins. Your vote could be the one that makes the difference!

@cavar I usually shared the slides at the beginning of the session (using a bit.ly or similar shortener) so people could follow along, annotate, know they didn't have to take notes, etc.

A link to the doc could be included on the slides, but if you want informed questions, you could share that in advance.

Turns out the time change creates less havoc when you spend the day outside instead of in a gloomy building where a loud bell rings on a regular basis telling apathetic teens when to move to a different room.

Yet another reason I'm glad I'm an overeducated gardener!
