The existence of Sriracha is proof that someone knows what they’re doing.
… what? ,,, look. I needed something to brighten the day before email hell, companies house and dealing with accountants.

So here’s my thing, at least on Linux I don’t *pay* for the jank. But as someone who rarely if ever gets time to compose between being everyone to everything, it’s a bit naff that macOS permissions decide to nerf a product I paid literal thousands of pounds for, because Apple’s security user flow sucks harder than a cocaine addicted Dyson.
I’m actually going to make a concerted effort to start engaging more on this platform. Not just because I’ve spent 3 years of my life in a room building an accessibility solution, but because I need a life.
@fireborn @FreakyFwoof yeah I have arch and cosmic is the 3rd de I’ve got on the system, after every update I go check it. At least they know what mad effort is involved, they aren’t just bundling orca and calling it a day. Would love to know where the push came from.
@fireborn @FreakyFwoof hey! Definitely, and thanks for picking it up. I’d completely forgotten the issue number and had too much going on to follow up.
@simon @siblingpastry @FreakyFwoof if you like, the chap who’s coding for the project Simon and I are working on is interested in contributing to your work. He mostly works with web and is a screen reader user. He’s already taken a look at the source of the page. I would tag him here but he doesn’t have a mastodon account. Shall I put you in touch?
@siblingpastry @simon @FreakyFwoof just sent this to a friend of mine with Joe‘s 2024 and chrome, and he couldn’t access the hints either. Sorry, dictating hands-free, JAWS.
@siblingpastry @simon @FreakyFwoof hey, this is awesome though I’m having exactly the same issues as Simon and Andre on phone. Are you allowed to / can you elaborate on how you’ve implemented this please? Are you planning on making a library?
You can really tell the difference between open source and commercial office suites. Drafting something in libre office writer on one of my dev machines and accidentally wrote ‘taylored’.
Spellcheck had the top correction was ‘tailored’, the second was ‘gaylord’. Apparently it’s a name? But this is one of those repeat spelling errors I’ll make when I’m typing without thinking, and I’ve never seen that before in word or pages.
The thing about marketing a company and or product is, it’s your job to know when enough is enough. It hit me how bored I am of Apple constantly ramming down my throat that “this year’s iPhone is the best / fastest / coolest / most god like iPhone ever” when I realised I’d missed the event, four and a half hours into working on code documentation, standard operational procedures and learning Graphviz, which is as interesting as it sounds. *yawn*
just saw that the former head of NatWest is due for £2.4 million after pissing off Nigel Farage. Given her final actions, can we please double this?
@BorrisInABox @FreakyFwoof aaaaaaaaa I was born in 94 that just terrified me a bit
Saw this in my YT shorts feed with a bunch of machos jumping to say obviously you should keep the business.
If your immediate takeaway from this is that you can replace someone you love or someone who loves you with someone else but you can’t build another business, you suck at business.
@tchambers @web3isgreat oops
Me: you know how I struggle to do things sometimes because I’m visually impaired?
My niece Lily (aged 9): yeah?
Me: you know what that means?
Lily: yeah.
Me: do you because I’ve never said visually impaired before.: oh, I thought you said usually in bed.
I am dead 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Think I’ve just worked something out. #musk just sued the #lawyers who forced him to buy #twitter
So he thinks he has enough money to get out of mistakes regardless.
Maybe super rich people don’t ever learn from their mistakes unless they want to, because they feel they have that option and can get away with it?
@miki agreed! One thing I’ve seen recently like this, a couple apps ask would you like one month free of our outrageous subscription which lets you pay monthly for stuff we’ll say is now free, or would you like to skip the trial? By skip trial, obviously it implies you pay now. Except it means skip the opportunity to join the membership and don't pay a thing.
@dramypsyd I don't "overcome" my disability. I am disabled. I overcome all the ableism that gets thrown at me in my daily life.
