Summer is almost here and the weather has been very nice lately. When it warms up like this I teach lessons on my sun porch which looks out over the garden. It's really a nice place to play music together

Here's a picture of Andy and me warming up before a gig in Northampton at the Northampton community Music center. We were playing some traditional Irish music for a dance. There's nothing better than playing for people dancing!

My 5 string fiddle is semi acoustic meaning you can plug it in if you have a 1/4 in Jack. It has a tone and volume control on the side. I use it mostly acoustically but every once in awhile I am asked to play in a gig with an electric guitar, or a horn section and so it's nice to have the added amplification.
