I'm pushing for #RIPE to go #IPv6 only for the API and control panel, and surprise there are folks saying they don't have IPv6.
These are "professional" network operators. 🤦♂️
Companies like @aaisp have been providing IPv6 connections in the UK for over 20 years now.
Let's set a date and switch this legacy stuff off. It's holding us back.

Die 22 Geräte sind im Wesentlichen das Kernteam, wir wollten euch nur vorwarnen :)
Fingerprints von Pubkeys sind effektiv ihre Prüfsummen, also genauso *nicht* geheim wie der Pubkey.
Dennoch lassen sich damit Rückschlüsse darauf ziehen, wer auf welchem Gerät Zugriff hat.
Wir versuchen noch zu evaluieren, in welchem Rahmen es schon das Feature ist, dass wir gebrauchen können oder ob uns das zu viel Transparenz ist.
Ihr seid herzlich eingeladen mitzutesten. Aber seid gewarnt, wenn ihr geheime Router habt, von denen ihr euch gerne distanzieren würdet, aber ihr mit euren pubkeys hausieren geht :)

I start experimenting with an array of authorized ssh fingerprints in our nodes.json.
SSH fingerprints are effectively abbreviated encodings of sha256sums of the SSH pubkeys authorized to access a device.
While this does obviously not leak your key, it allows you to systematically identify the routers you have access to.
Feedback welcome.
Would this something we'd consider as gluon-package or should it better reside in the community packages?

We couldn't believe it at first, but one of the most common numbers guessed about the #IPv6 adoption among logged-in users is 42%. We assume that many users took this number as a joke. But in all seriousness: it is correct! (It is exactly 42.0095476% higher than that of our largest competitor #GitHub 😄)

I'm seeing up to 200 ns of difference between various GPS devices on my desk (one outlier, should really all be closer to that) plus 200-300 ns of network-induced variability on NTP clients, giving me somewhere between 200 and 500 ns of total error, depending on how I measure it.
So, it's higher than I'd really expected to see when I started, but *well* under my goal of 10 μS.
Can someone recommend an SSO provider?
I’m looking for something following the principle of data economy and am not looking for software to deploy myself, but a publicly availabile service.
It would only be for a few handful of users and does not necessarily need to be free.
The target group is developers whose accounts I’d like to separate from the user SSO provider, for which external registration would be a hassle, I’d like to avoid.
Any experience reports and suggestions are very welcome 🙂
