While writing a bit about my early years watching Asian movies, this one came to mind. It was heavily criticized at the time for its 'similarities' to Star Wars. But not everyone knows about Shotaro Ishinomori's work, which dates back to the 1960s.

I just discovered that Takashi Shimizu, one of the masters of J-Horror, produced a horror movie that might be one of the best!
