P.S. Datastar is not simply HTMX + SSE. It's HTMX + Alpine + SSE in just 10KB and allows you to use JavaScript in a declarative manner. It's more hypermedia-oriented than HTMX itself.

IIRC HTMX original developer asked to a contributor to rewrite the SSE part and in the end he created Datastar
I've been interested in #datastar recently because of its server-driven, push-based nature, in comparison to all the pull-based stuff I end up doing in #HTMX.
For that reason, this background talk on Datastar was really interesting to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K71AyAF6E4
Every time I use a calendar "app" I mourn the regression from 80s-era principles of usable GUI. Can I cut and paste appointments? I can not. Can I select and manipulate multiple appointments? I can not. Can I perform search-and-replace in my calendar? I can not. Is there, then, a separation between Model and View such that I may manipulate my appointments in an alternative interaction language such as a CSV file? There is not.

Sorry, I have no interest in discussing with people like you.
But you can't even check what the "attacking and smearing" were because the linked article links to Durov channel instead of his message, to **discourage people from actually checking and form their own opinion**.

Do you want to know how the author of the first article manipulates his audience?
Take this example:
> Pavel Durov personally kept attacking and smearing – in a completely unsubstantiated way – fully end-to-end encrypted competition like Signal.
Unsubstantiated?!: Telegram has reproducible builds:
https://core.telegram.org/reproducible-builds
Signal has not.

You just sent me not one but two articles full of US propaganda.
These people clearly haven't read The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives (1997) by Zbigniew Brzezinski.

It's because you didn't understand my point before writing your "argument" in the first place.
I just said that all calls are e2e encrypted, there are Secret Chats, in general users data are not exploited, there are tons of settings to improve privacy... do you really know Telegram?
On the other hand, how can you talk with someone that isn't on <insert your favorite platform>?
@anselmschueler @adbenitez @delta
I signed up for Matrix 10 years ago and Telegram 12 years ago.
Look at active users TODAY. Do they look the same to you?

I perfectly know the implications of Telegram's tech and of course you didn't say anything wrong. I am saying something different:

There is a spectrum of compromises and you just choose a different point than Telegram's. But you are still on the same spectrum.
Whatsapp became that popular in the SMS era and later added e2ee that doesn't make sense in a proprietary app especially when you have Google/Apple cloud backup enabled. Whasapp still provide poor non-mobile UX.
Telegram is FOSS and has reproducible builds. Its calls are always e2ee. Its business model doesn't exploit users data. It has optional e2ee chats on mobile.
The above with 1+ billion of active users. It's an essential tool for a privacy-minded person in many scenarios.
And let's admit Telegram is not the reason things like Matrix, Delta, XMPP are not more popular. It's just that it is nearly impossible to make them as popular as Telegram because of what people are today.
Durov just sent a valuable message to 1+ billion of people today and it is not appreciated because he didn't the same with e2ee, decentralization, DEI terminology and without being a billionaire.
