My personality type is argv

Rust is growing on me but there are some weirdnesses, mainly in what's missing from the std library. Like, there's no pread()/pwrite() equivalent?

(Yes, I know about the positioned_io crate but these functions have been in POSIX for decades, and, c'mon, nobody wants to use seek() in 2025. Get them into std.)

@danirabbit Youtube has started recommending me channels about "learning Linux" where they show how to spend hours customizing, configuring and scripting the user environment to perfection, and all I can think is "oh jeez I hope nobody thinks all of that stuff is *required* to use Linux".
