Anyone have any #swl #antenna advice for a newbie? Right now I’ve got about 25 feet of speaker cable stretched out and sort of doubled up on top of a long run of bookshelves along an interior wall. It’s.. not nearly as good as when I had it draped close to windows all over the living room but shared living space. 🙂

Went to my first #HamCon and came back with my third radio. Am I doing this right? 😂

Hi all! Quick #introduction to pin. Been on masto since 2022, opened this account to focus on #HamRadio / #AmateurRadio. Studying for my Technicians license and creeping on the air to learn the ways of this very cool new world (and all your many many abbreviations lol). I’ve got an HT for the local mountaintop repeaters and a CC Skywave SSB for HF. I love it all so much. I grin every time I find a signal. Interests also include #TreeCrops, communitarian preparedness and other #collapse stuff. 🙂
