Don’t fear death; it is a natural law. Don’t celebrate life; it is a natural law. Instead, celebrate good character and fear bad character, for these are your own creations. They are what truly elevate you—or consume you—in this life and the afterlife.
~Arshad
Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen.
— Wayne Huizenga
We can use our dreams to fuel our motivation, but our steps must be guided by reality, otherwise we will fail. We must be able to differentiate between dream and reality.

It's sad seeing Wikipedia in the crosshairs like this, but we're likely to see more of this from authoritarian states, the BRICS nations, and groups aligned with them.
Truth is their enemy, and Wikipedia is universally adored for actually doing a decent job at preserving truth in this post-truth era.

In a disturbing update to the ANI vs. #Wikipedia defamation case in #India 🇮🇳, the #Wikimedia Foundation agreed to disclose user details of accounts that have added the defamatory content to the article about ANI, the litigious Indian news agency at the center of the case. What those user details could be there is no info, but I imagine that if these accounts have email addresses attached, then these would be included, as well as any recent IP addresses used.

Open sound and air pollution in the name of a festival—#Diwali—is unacceptable. I hope to see a day when this uncivilized practice is completely banned in my country #India. Indeed, not only during Diwali but in other public celebrations as well.
One stands in armour, ready bound to fight,
Another bears the brunt, hidden from sight…
The enemy may be distant, a stranger’s face,
Yet scars of enmity land at a different place…

One accurate measurement is worth a thousand expert opinions.

Belief is a rest for the mind and shouldn't be mistaken for ultimate truth. Rest is essential and should be temporary; when the time demands it, we should resume the journey of discovering new truths. If we decline to do so and continue to rest forever, we will begin to stagnate and ultimately be replaced by other intelligent beings under the process of natural law.
“The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum — even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate.”
—Noam Chomsky
