The great thing about fantasy is that you can drag dreams and longings and hopes and fears and strivings out of your subconscious and call them 'magic' or 'dragons' or 'faeries' and get to know them better. But then I write the stuff. Obviously I'm prejudiced. - Robin McKinley

@atomicpoet I did.
My daughter doesn't understand what autism implies because her behaviour is normal to her.
But now I'm thinking back. When I was a kid, people called me "weird" and "eccentric," and maybe it's because I was acting oddly—oblivious to my neuro divergences because, why wouldn't you focus all your time on reading the dictionary or studying the Yellow Pages? Why wouldn't everyone else find this fun?
@sohkamyung Wow great focus and capture.
@atomicpoet I went through the same throes with Barbie dolls..
Anyway, one of my daughter's special interests is unicorns.
That really upset me. And okay, it still does.
But also, I just want her to be happy because her being happy makes me happy—and so now horses are just a thing I live with.

@alex_shieff Why are your nudes always in sexual poses? Can we not enjoy the female form without sexualization?
