Opaque and background-colored Times New Roman characters scattered randomly in a specific sequence. This one has a smooth, balanced, calm layout. Kind of a "main theme" image.

The are many rough elements, letters "m" and "w" create the dominant patterns. The layout is centered and very balanced.

This one has a sort of progressive swirl. At the conclusion of the pattern there's a prominent letter "O" (actually a "Q").

A sparse layout, the generator was set to a low level. There's a strange straight line creating the focus of the image.

EDIT:  The generator now works on mobile, because the font size is now based on the canvas size.

I've made a generator that produces art like this. It's not high tech, but the concept was exactly to use a very simple method to get awesome looking stuff. A large amount of colored Times New Roman characters get scattered randomly in a simple rule sequence.

Well, I managed it. Pixel sorted my first image from scratch today (no apps). Used Processing running Kim Asendorf's ASDL Pixel Sort script. It was a bit of a task to get running, but it worked.

A metal door painted green. Over the years the paint has flaked off and underneath the door has started to rust. The whole image has been pixel sorted and lines of pixels look like they have been smeared across the image. Taken with the Sony Mavica MVC-FD81 floppy disk camera.
