A good week for my and :

The Lady from Shanghai - 4.5/5, outstanding, another movie I put off watching for too long

Limelight - 4/5, 30 minutes too long but the two leads are so likeable I didn't care

High and Low - 4/5, we all want the house on the hill

My Dog Stupid - 4/5, I'll take the dumbest dog over most people any day

Happy Viewing!

Eminent astronomers worldwide have written an open letter to the Chilean Government appealing for the protection of the dark skies above ESO's Paranal Observatory.

The site, the best place for astronomy on the planet, is currently threatened by the large-scale industrial complex INNA, from AES Andes company, planned to be located just a few kilometres from Paranal’s telescopes.
