and my personal (and highly unlikely) wishlist:

• some of the teachers are idols alongside the students (just because i like adult charas more 😔)

• co-ed school!!!! co-ed please!! first co-ed imas branch!

• subunits based on clubs! i always thought it was cute in early Enstars days when each boy had their units that they made music in, but everyone was also in different clubs and interacted with each other through that avenue

• characters with short hair

• characters in pants

• new and impressive species of chuunibyou discovered

In 36 hours, bandai namco is debuting a new branch of the iDOLM@STER franchise - it doesn’t have an official name yet, but is being referred to as ‘gakumas’. these are my predictions:

• the gaku in gakumas stands for gakuen - meaning itll take place at a school and center around school idols a la love live. imas recently did a LLSIF crossover live and it would make sense for them to start broaching similar territory (to me anyway)

• it won’t be unit based like how shiny colors or sideM are. if it is, the units will be classes instead of actual unit-units - but i personally think they’ll prioritize individual idols like in cg and 765pro w/ maybe units on the side

• maybe itll take place a little in the future! we might get callbacks to other idols or something! but thats pure speculation on my part

• one of the characters will be an in-universe v-tuber

• the producer will be a home room teacher. maybe in the beginning, instead of picking a starter idol, you pick a starter class (1st years, 2nd years, etc.) ?

• the assistant will be another teacher - maybe an electives teacher! (light music, drama, etc.)

• one of the characters will be gay (but only just enough…)

which like, on one hand. when I read this instances rules, I appreciated that they encourage you to curate your experience. but also. why did I get hit up by someone who regularly reposts shota the minute I posted art there. idk it’s all just kinda whatever

i posted my first piece of art on that instance today and got replied to and followed by someone who reposts shota porn on main. I reported it to my admin and they replied by saying that “shota is allowed on [that users instance]” and that they don’t like to suspend people from other instances unless they are “harmful/bigoted”. then they recommended I block the domain and filter out the terms. and that made me feel pretty rough

weeeeell I had a kinda of an uncomfortable experience on that new instance I set up a side account on. might not end up posting on there after all, sorry to those who followed me back
