I think there are still some things that aren't quite right with the packagebase system. Finally, the Lemur laptop reverted back to its original Ubuntu operating system. The difference is that it's Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and root on ZFS.

Actually, I tried to install FreeBSD on my previous laptop, Lemur from System 76. But I guess the Linux Gods didn't allow it. GhostBSD failed to boot on the first attempt due to a disk issue. BastilleBSD couldn't install the desktop. FreeBSD 15 installation was successful, and the desktop was installed. There were problems with installing jail via template with Bastille.

@stefano Aside from Void and Ubuntu, are there any Linux distributions that provide root on ZFS during installation?
