Not surprising, but unfortunate. The US federal gov't has been taking DJI to task over security allegations for years, constantly threatening a total ban.
But it's DJI's users who lose here: while operators are responsible for complying with rules, geofencing improves public and operator safety.

Ok #SFBayArea folks. EBRPD has put out a notice about a large permitted event basically making most of the Iron Horse Trail unusable Saturday Jan 27. But they don’t seem to be answering questions of what, and I’m trying to find out because it affects my weekend. Anyone have any ideas?

@JensJot I think every year for the past several I’ve said “no new book purchases until I finish or get rid of the to-read pile.” I never stick to it 😂 I already had to halt multiple book orders I almost placed this week 📚

@Geotripper Speaking of bitterns ... I almost drove off the road at San Luis NWR a few weeks ago. I almost never see bitterns, and there was just one standing on the side of the road. Not in a wetland, or high grasses, just right out in the open, ~1 ft from the road. I was overly excited, to say the least 😆

Snow Geese and White-faced Ibises at the Merced National Wildlife
@Geotripper love the lighting angle (sunset?). I dubbed this my ibis year, been seeing so many 😄
I’ve managed a couple trips in the last several weeks to Merced. Love seeing how conditions change — like that first pond at the starting overlook used to be packed & I could spend an hour or more , but it has been so quiet my last few visits.
