@floatybirb , honestly, the trains are fine. Very reliable. Maybe not as clean as I'd like, but I've been riding them for 30 years, and that's par for the course.

@jordan you have a good point, but they break down year-round and this one goes up. There have to be better options. Some folks need these for accessibility. But... at least they are quick to fix them. Sort of.

Last night in Lisbon. Picked up some liquid souvenirs (and drank some, too).

Western most tip (and windiest) of continental Europe.

Beautiful estate with many mystical elements, including the "Initiation Well," a representation of the nine circles of hell depicted in Dante's Inferno.

Pena Palace. Just stunning. Not much more I can say. The hot chocolate was much needed. Also a few shots of Sintra.

So many steps to climb but so worth it. #Lisbon

Moved to a new hotel with a room with one hell of a balcony view. Dinner on the rooftop capped off the evening. So excited to spend the a few more days in this lovely city. #Lisbon

Enjoying this funky little hotel. Friendly staff. Good food and live music. It looks big, but only 180 or so rooms.

Lovely company + scrumptious food + a perfectly chilled port = memorable evening.
