This is quite cool. How big is the #Glastonbury site? This is it compared to Coventry city centre where it dwarfs the ringroad boundary. Try your town or city here: gsp8181.co.uk/glasto/?loca...
Uses language suitable for miners rather than minors. Proud xennial. Podcasting, tech, publishing, ebikes, art and design, queer shit. (I did warn you about the language.) 🩷💜💙

@u0421793 So sorry, I don’t get the ref! You’re welcome to educate me :)
@SirSwatch I still appreciate it! It’s just that she’s already getting to go to a Katy Perry concert and to see Hamilton for her birthday, which is kinda coincidental but kinda not, so I didn’t want to drop too much on her on-the-day gift!
@SirSwatch Looks awesome. (Though yes, ouchy on price!)
Using my fingerprint to unlock Passwords to retrieve the password for LastPass so that I can get the password to an online service…
@Rossireland A good instinct, and I avidly support these resources! I'll have a think – though in this case, it's something I'm comfortable with owning in the house (and sharing), since she'll def be doing badge-making at unsociable hours!
This feels like an extremely fedi question:
Does anyone have recommendations for a good badge maker?
Would like to get one for my kid's upcoming birthday. I don't need 'actual workhorse machine capable of churning out hundreds of badges a day' but I don't want '£15 crap that is unpleasant to use and feels like it will break after half a dozen badges'. Good quality, easy to find supplies for, ideally from a decent company.
Sub-£100 is good. Sub-£60 is even better. Go! Thanks!
Boosts welcome 🙇🏻

@gnomon One of my most cherished and important pieces of media ❤️🔥
@swiftovercoffee My apologies to @mikaelacaron for I was unable to fix her saying 'Thank you to listening for Swift Over Coffee' at the end 😅 but at least I didn't make that the episode title…
I would very much like to live long enough to see this particular brand of faux-intellectual edgelord cuntery get laughed out of the public square
@jeffwatkins I don’t think it’s spam, I think it’s a legit piece of PR! (And so if it is, it’s fooled me!) I get a lot of these from my days as a journalist.
I mean, she's not wrong, but 🤨
Too silly. Sick of my desk so took my laptop out in the car to work this evening, which not only has a standard wall socket to charge the laptop, but an HDMI port. Turns out (of course) that I can use one of its screens as an extended display. Too small for working as such, but I love a little HUD for secondary tasks 😂 (and of course audio plays out over HDMI to the car’s speakers).
@TechConnectify Thanks for this :) Re your question at the end: yeah I’d be interested seeing an updated charging video! One question I’m too lazy to have researched yet is:
For me, charging from an 240v AC outlet (in the UK) is completely compatible with our EV use. I am considering replacing the janky wiring with a dedicated line. If charging times and cost don’t matter, is charging slowly from regular wall outlet ultimately (slightly?) kinder to the battery than installing a Type 2 wall box?
