each picture in this collection. is png file 2732x1536. originally created with xaos. in two passes and then pixel mixing operations done. driven by a qb64 program. which contains some of the rather simple pixel mixing operations. nothing from gmic nor imagemagick was used to change these pictures. these pictures are completely unaltered otherwise. usually i load them into gimp. then do crazy things to the pictures. but i wanted to make a demonstration. of what could be done with xaos. with colors and with "user" formulas.

i'm about to go into the most depressing moment of the year.

$this is the result of running xaos. twice per pass per image. then combining it with routines i wrote in qb64. usually blending with "black" threshold. and a failed "kill purple" routine. it comes from xpf files. for xaos invented by a different qb64 program i wrote. there is a lot of focus on the "user" formulas. away from the built-in fractals. also away from the built-in palettes because they suck.$

i would like to give a shout-out. to user "freesound/looplicator". for doing really weird loops. sometimes repetitive, sometimes arcane. reminds me of efforts by cognition audioworks. put out with computer music magazine cover disc. almost 20 years ago. i've been using them in my music this year. #freesound #electronicmusic

@joelkp what i did. was write a few lua scripts. that created "sau" text files. changing "R" shape, frequency, amplitude, lfo parameters etc. so there's a lot of variety. it's interesting indeed. but as i've said. i'm largely going along. with preexisting "sau" files. not going deep yet. such as using envelopes.

@joelkp thank you again for "saugns." i check out the example "sau" files. changing things so i learn how to use it. but in the process. i noticed an inconsistency. the manual will have to be updated. about "Wmto" oscillator. i used the one said in the manual. don't remember which 3-letter code. but your program returned a warning message. i keep being surprised. with the interaction having to do with the "R" oscillators.

the release of #xaos. i could install from debian "trixie" repositories. really sucks for what i want to do. now press "ctrl+c" and it creates a link. to "xaos-dot-app" site. with _only_ the current viewpoint! for what fractal? what if it's user formula? what palette? is it a plane other than "default?" does it use perturbation? no none of that is answered. you're supposed to figure it out. in your web browser. now the program. doesn't even render images properly sometimes.

i guess i'm done with funkwhale. i log in. they claim they don't have _a_n_y_ space. to allow me to upload anything else. as if i wanted to put up. more than six songs. then with my very limited internet connection. often refuses to play. or does it as slowly as youtube on a bad day. once i tried to use "open-dot-audio". i don't belong to that pod. it kept saying i made "too many retries." connection attempts or something like that. couldn't use the site at all.

#xaos 4.3.4 is buggy. on opensuse "tumbleweed" with mate desktop. maybe because i should run in kde plasma instead. interactive mode is unusable. crashes trying to set default palette. hangs trying to invoke save or load requester. it's ok using it on command line. but some pictures differ from slightly older release. it's doing "pixelart" textures. i desired to know how and why. but i'm not allowed. since this program now is too buggy. #fractalart
