@nixCraft the title is a bit misleading. It's a test in a scenario where the AI was told by one department of a fictious company that it would be replaced soon. In that scenario, the AI, indeed replied by trying to blackmail people of another deciding department.

It's funny, but fortunately it's not real for now.

@florenciocano in reality, CTF challenges are already created to resist LLMs. But that's theory. In practice, they don't fully resist. It would be okay if LLMs just help us go fast on uninteresting tasks. But very often, it's the opposite : they do quickly the part that is fun, and you're left with doing the things which aren't.

I mean, usage of AI in CTFs is *massive* now. I see chatgpt open in nearly each laptop.

ChatGPT or Claude or whatever: the new killer tool of CTFs ;/
I think everybody uses it, nearly, and it spoils a bit the fun of many challenges.

Fortunately, it doesn't spit on the solution directly, but no doubt it makes it easier. And less fun IMHO.

If anybody has thought of ideas to "ban" AI in CTFs or make AI really useless, please share, I'm all ears.
