"average person has 3 testicles" factoid actually just a statistical error. Testicles Georg, who has an astonishing number of testicles, is an outlier and should not have been counted
Incredibly powerful; posts about things I enjoy
Profile picture: Me holding a black doggy in my arms
Banner picture: Art of two people and a bear walking arm in arm, text below reads "on my way to a gay lil bookstore"

@inherentlee I use codeberg, it's great, ty codeberg *smooch codeberg*
@eondraws gently
@astraleureka Why do all CVEs these days feel like this one?
I'm expecting something novel or unique but it turns out you can trick this software to run arbitrary code as root because it *checks notes* just runs arbitrary code as root.
I say this not to diminish your investigation (it's cool!), but to rag on Microsoft.
Boooo Microsoft
@faerye or a Shakespeare play
"that villainous red breasted sap sucker has ripped the life from my betrothed! Hark, I also see a pretty bird in that tree, I wonder what I shall call it"
@faerye it's probably because I've been watching twilight but red breasted sapsucker sounds incredibly like what they'd call a vampire in the 1800s
@Tusky Is there a way to have tusky use full width when displaying posts, i.e. Not have an empty column on the left underneath profile pictures?
@jk Fun thread, incredibly realistic.
I'm surprised you haven't run into gpg key problems - whenever I update a system out of date by ~6 months it complains about those and the update fails.
@Ashedryden Which one works for you?
@Ashedryden that's a cute baby
@xtaldave you've heard of girl dinner. Say hello to man dinner: a huge wedge of cheese, a beer, and a sprig of parsley.
@simon Those are terrible suggestions - I can't imagine thinking the human subtleties of my life don't matter, or that a chatbot trained on the internet will provide useful therapy.
It reads to me like the author is craving human connection, isn't getting it, and is trying to fill that hole with chatbots.
With that mindset, of course the energy use or output being non-factual don't matter.
Also, gotta be on the grindset using chatbots "hourly" always learning, gotta hustle, of course.

@simon This is the same guy who writes:
- "Career advice, like life advice, often doesnβt require a crazy amount of insight into the human subtleties of your situation."
- "If youβre struggling with something in your personal life, go to a friend or therapist, but also consider pinging a chatbot."
- "You can talk to ChatGPT voice mode as if youβre talking to someone over the phone [...]. I do this on my walk to work."
