@Strit @Mastodon yes I think that's how federation is meant to work. They can keep being banned on other instances or create their own. The power of moderation is with the user who can block them entirely or their instance entirely. Otherwise who watches the Watchman? Besides, creating another username on another instance still means they can post and now you would have to block them again. So stopping them at this juncture accomplishes nothing. Let people recover their accounts.

@Strit @Mastodon The user can't login to migrate because they got banned as I understand from a very strange server. The Fediverse is made so people control their online profile/presence and not a single instance or admin should be dictating loss of your entire account.
