On to playing Final Fantasy VII OG on Steam, and the German version is 1:1 the same game I played in the late 90s, warts and all. The translation is rushed and abysmally poor. Some dialogue scenes are cut off, don't make any sense, or are simply weird.

Still... It's so enjoyable. It's a fun game and I'm hooked. The tempo is *so* right, and nothing drags. The locations are all so different and creative. I get why this has been a fan favourite for so long.

I finished FF9! Including the superbosses! A few achievements are still up, but I'm not sure if I will tackle them (I'm interested in trying Excalibur II, but can't be arsed to kill 10000 enemies).

@pascaline Absolutely! They are big Sushi fans, and when they saw Maki being made fresh before their eyes, they started to glow. I guess the older one had about 20 Maki by the end of the day.

@sarajw @pascaline I pretty much followed the package instructions, but I had to learn what "lowest setting" means for my stove. I tried the 1st batch with 2/9, which was way too low, and 3/9 for the 2nd batch, which made it excellent. Not a single grain burnt, all fluffy and exactly like it should be. For the seasoning, I used a pre-mixed seasoning from the shop, but I used a little less than they suggested.

@pascaline the kids devoured them 😊 rice was spot on, but I ruined a batch before 😂

First try! Still a lot to improve, but I’m very happy with the results

I just see kids not being angry at everything but founding startups.

And "Letze Generation" Austria is basically done for.
