I‘m watching the Xbox Ally X behind the scenes video and oooooh I do have *thoughts* about all that.
Developer writing about #rust and #typescript. Movie buff. Looking into Lego and alternate vendors. @ddprrt on Twitter, Reddit, GitHub. Not a real parrot. Also not dead.

@janl That Gamecube controller ♥️
Seriously, at the beginning of the year, I said if SE wants to have low-effort/high-impact releases, they should do Dragon Quest VIII HD Remaster and Final Fantasy Tactics. The crowd will go wild.
First step done!
OH YEAH! Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster coming to ALL systems September 30

Finally!!
@marcthiele Oh sweet! Gravel might be the right type for my need. I wonder if it's possible to try out Rose in Austria.
@janl Ooooh, lucky you. I thought about going the custom build route but I'm so unsure if biking is a mood or something I really want to do for longer. :-)
@janl that sounds exactly like the thing I’m looking for! I can’t seem to find a 7kg variation, though. The carbon bikes are around 11, the alloy at 14. do I need to look for a special model?
Bikers of the Fediverse: What's a good type of bike that allows me to run through the city but also take some serious altitude? Talking around 90- 100m altitude, 7% elevation.
Indie game recommendation! "Lonely Mountains: Downhill" is a mountain bike Roguelike (I guess), which is oddly calming, comforting, and challenging.
There's a 50% discount on Switch and a 75% discount on Steam:

Gameboy Tetris is still the best Tetris.
@flaki This makes me so mad because I see this exact thing happening. I teach at universities, and most students already come from families with academic background, few of them have high school diplomas, almost none come from families with compulsory school and apprenticeship.
In Austria people fought to make academic education accessible to as many people as possible. My parents are working class, and all their kids had the opportunity to study. I don't think this is possible anymore.
@marshray Sorry for the radio silence, ever since mastodon.social is blocked on company PCs, I rarely find an opportunity to answer.
I must admit that I rarely found myself in situations like the one you described. However, I can understand that it's confusing and frustrating to see why some things work and others don't, when there's -- at least to me -- no apparent reason. I guess this is still growing pains, and things will work out *eventually*, but that's hardly solace (nor justification)
ICYMI There's a 24/7 stream of Doctor Who's "Dugga Doo" and this is probably all you need right now:
