Seattle-area dude. Late 30s, liberal, lots of hair, piercings, etc. Boring he/him pronouns.
Into cooking, humor, games, philosophy, plants, reading, tea, tech, ukulele, and wordplay.
#DemoTheCat and #GoblinTheCat are my overlords. Find my ramen in #UnsolicitedNoods, nature stuff in #AWalkADay, my thoughts in #DBMeditations.
I'm a godless heathen, a Stoic, Buddhist-adjacent, and an occasional pescetarian. Sometimes I plug my blog.

The current spate of weirdness in Glasgow continues with this flyer for a lost ring on a wall near the entrance to the Hidden Lane in Finnieston. If you find it, please let Gollum know! π

Saw this variant on the #InternationalWorkersDay thing, and I prefer it.

Three photos from today's walk. I really appreciated the warm sun on my neck today.
Recently rediscovered Kipling's 'If' and thought it worth sharing.

Two photos from my walk today. Be kind to yourselves, humans.
This is sobering, but worth reading if you want to understand how badly Trump is destroying the economy. Just data. And entirely Trump-inflicted. https://www.apolloacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/042625-ConsumerandFirms_v2.pdf
That's about right - we've got frequent rain 8 months of the year (not pouring, but some falls 2 days out of 3) and then from June through September it's dry, sunny, and reliably between 70-95f or so.
I built a couple cedar raised beds when we bought the house, but they're finally falling apart after 5 or 6 years, the hugel will replace them. Hoping the hugel will help to hold that manual watering, so the garden won't need daily work.
Brilliant. :)
I'm in western WA and have more rain than I know what to do with. Going to try a hugel bed this summer/fall for next year, which are supposed to theoretically turn the excess humidity into fertile decomposing structure. Will see how it goes!
Well worth your valuable time. The books are all relatively short, punchy, and super fun. Best snarky dialogue from a character since Mark Whatney in The Martian.
And, like most of us, all he wants to do is watch videos all day but has to go save stupid-ass humans. π

"Agent Orange: Patriot Edition" was unquestionably Pampers' worst branding choice of the last few years.
Gorgeous.
You might consider a CW though for the giant black widow spider pic, I imagine folks with bug sensitivities would be a bit scurred.
