🚀 Meet De-Gmojify, an open-source Chrome extension that removes the "Add Reaction" button from Gmail...
...and that's it. That's all I wanted it to do, so that's all it does.

There are bugs of course. There is no start screen, and the game never ends either. These "states" would be rather easy to implement, but I wanted to work on the core ping pong experience rather than these.
Weekend project: Compose Ping Pong.
I wanted to experiment making a small game with Jetpack Compose. It mainly uses Canvas.
I made it open source (❤️) and released it along with my new personal Compose playground app named “Cosmose” :)
I've been playing with shaders lately. This isn't the best login screen out there, but I wanted to see how it would look like. This is made using Compose.
That shader isn't exactly good for performances though. But I think it looks good :)
Huge thanks to @Skylled for helping me with this post!
Material 3 Adaptive: Making Responsive Layouts with Jetpack Compose easily
In this blog post I'm taking a look at an unreleased library from Google: Material 3 Adaptive. Let me know what you think! 😄
Speaking of Android Studio. The codename of the version after Hedgehog will be... Iguana! 🦎
It will be based on IntelliJ Idea 2023.2.
Yesterday I showed you the new Android Studio Nightly logo.
Did you notice the crescent shape in it? 🌙
Such a simple yet very useful detail!
Android Studio Nightly just got its own logo!
It's still unclear when the first nightly will be available. But it's definitely coming soon :)
I'm a fan of this logo! 🤩
I really had fun making this background!
My new website is live! I spent quite some time on it, and it's unlike anything I've ever made before. 👀
As I explained a few weeks ago, the reason I redesigned it is because I felt limited by the previous version. This version looks more like me :)
Mastodon's official app got a redesign, but uh.. Tusky is definitely still the way to go. 😬

🔥 Introducing telephoto, a compose library for displaying zoomable images with automatic sub‑sampling of large bitmaps: https://saket.github.io/telephoto/
It's #GoogleIO day! 🥳
You can learn a lot about Android Studio when looking at the sources... For example, full support of Version Catalog is coming 👀
Yesterday @Skylled and I unveiled a great news about Android for users but also Android developers:
Google is rewriting the Android's Settings app with #JetpackCompose 😄
This is so exciting!

@zachklipp Fair enough! Thanks :)
@zachklipp I see, I understand. Going forward then, couldn't the selection toolbar be accessible enough at the system level to let Compose (and other frameworks such as Flutter) implement it so that it's consistent with view-based apps?
If made accessible in Android 14, in a few years it won't really matter if today's last few Android versions aren't supporting consistent selection toolbar.
