Musician and researcher in musical interactions, #embodiment , post-digital instrument design, networked music performance, and interactive machine learning. I designed an instrument called the Sophtar.
Currently at the Intelligent Instrument Lab in Iceland. Also at Luleå University of Technology where I am doing research on #hyperogans and Berlin University of the Arts where I am part of the #wearablecomputing group. Based in #Berlin.
Every €1 the EU invests in research can yield up to €11 in growth by 2045.
With €43 billion from Horizon Europe since 2023, we’ve backed 15,000+ projects, from antibiotics to the transition.
This year, we’ll put in over €7.3 billion to meet Europe’s challenges.
We now want to enshrine scientific freedom in EU law, create a 7-year ‘super grant’ to attract top researchers and expand support for the most promising scientists.
Research benefits all. Let’s double down.

@thisismissem I had a Steuerberater and frankly I was doing nearly all the work for them and it would take them a week to answer an email. Now I do everything online on wundertax.de. All in English, their documentation is great and their support is excellent, they answer right away and are very knowledgeable. I have multiple sources of income also as a freelance and it has worked very well for me (this may sound like an ad but it’s not! 🙂)

@PvN @federicovisi Glad you found it interesting! Here’s more about that event, we’re now editing a special issue of Organised Sound on the topic https://www.federicovisi.com/embedding-algorithms-workshop/
@FMarquardtGroup Few models are really open, so there is little competition: OLMo stands out - see https://osai-index.eu/ (via https://opening-up-chatgpt.github.io/)
The Embedding Algorithms Workshop took place in July 2024 at #UdKBerlin We brought together artists, researchers, and practitioners and had a great time discussing the practice of embedding algorithms in the arts with presentations and performances.

*The Y2K38 Bug. One wonders if anybody in 2038 will have the chops to deal with this
@yaxu I don’t have the slides unfortunately, but most of that research should be part of her PhD thesis I believe
These talks on embedded algorithms look really good! https://www.youtube.com/@FedericoVisi @federicovisi
The event took place in July 2024 at Universität der Künste Berlin, we brought together a community of artists, researchers, and practitioners and had a great time discussing the practice of embedding algorithms in the arts with presentations, exhibitions, and performances. More videos from the other presentations in the coming days. Enjoy!
