While we aren't quite ready yet to provide details, we thought you should know about the dates as soon as possible. We are planning to update the format and organizing team based on your feedback, but the unconference and demos that you all love will remain at the core of the event.

Thanks everybody who reached out since, and the many extremely good one-on-one and small group conversations with ideas for the next iteration of FediForum. Keep them coming!

Planned next steps: another townhall likely next week, and a rescheduled & adapted FediForum in May.

Refund status: refunds for everybody who asked so far have been initiated. Don't know how long it takes until it shows up on your card statements, that's out of our hands. We are refunding ticket price + fees, although we are eating the cost of the fees.

Thanks all of you who wrote in saying they don't want a refund now, but instead want it applied to future tickets or "to rebuild", and all who said they will come back.

Your support and continued belief in FediForum is very much appreciated!!

Apparently that request takes internal review at Humanitix. We'll try for another day or two if needed, so hang on ...

Refund status: currently attempting to convince Humanitix, our registration platform, to refund the entire ticket price including (not excluding) their fees.

Should we be unsuccessful, and figure out a way to do this, we will cover their fees. We want to make sure you are made whole if you requested a refund.

We will publish notes, do some individual follow-ups and reconvene, likely based on specific subject areas that have emerged as areas that need work and that people are interested in helping with.

As several people said, we have daunting problems all around in the world today, the Fediverse and Open Social Web have a big role to play, we need to support each other and move forward together, and today's discussion, as difficult as it was, was an great example for how to do this.

We just concluded our 90min townhall / roundtable discussion about the future of FediForum and the broader issues around it that we had instead of the regular FediForum unconference today.

I want to thank the about 45-50 people who came and participated for their many thoughtful comments, and in particular the many statements of support and offers to help building a better FediForum and Fediverse going forward.

As one attendee said: "This discussion is the FediForum we needed to have today."
