@fallbackerik it is not the problem. I use it on an 2010-2011 desktop without any problem.

Sarting a new journey : installing #freebsd on an old laptop HP Pavilion dv6. Hoping to make it a home server.
@fallbackerik how old are we talking ?
@gollyhatch I suggest to switch to @qownnotes
Nice, I just realized that when I favorite an article in Capy Reader (FOSS RSS reader for Android) that's syncing with my self-hosted Miniflux then the article is automatically saved to my self-hosted Readeck instance and shows up in Eckard (FOSS Android client for Readeck). I mean I've set up Readeck integration in Miniflux but I assumed I'd have to specifically send an article there, not just favorite it (actually never used the feature knowingly). Only noticed because I favorited a lot of trash articles to remember to add them to yet another middleware that filters RSS feeds later, which are now all in my Readeck reading list. Oh well, at least now I know that don't have to explicitly share articles from Capy Reader to Eckard, a single tap is enough.
@fallbackerik, I use @qownnotes and it's perfect for my needs. Notes are on my samba server and I use #quickmark to edit them on my Android phone.
After several weeks of research, I found out how to manage my #selfhosting cloud-ish notes for #PKM.
I have an old EMTEC MovieCube which has a native samba server. I redirect port on my router.
And on my Android phone, I have CIF Document provider to set the samba connection as local storage.
For reading, editing and creating my Markdown notes, I use QuickMark. Very lightweight and smooth
Perfect set-up for me
My first contribution ever to #opensource . A small step for the community, but a big one for me !! Thanks @patrizio #qownnotes #pkm
