Nobody else on the team was actually diagnosed, but it was very clear that I was not alone. The guy who only cut his hair once every 6 months due to sensory issues to my left. The exceedingly clean-cut, quiet-spoken, and reserved fellow to my right who had an autistic kid. The guy two or three seats down who had the most unusual sense of humor and thinking style, who constantly stuck his foot in his mouth because he was brutally honest. The guy in the break room who took a full thirty seconds to respond to any interaction because it was clear he was mulling over all the options. The girl with severe social anxiety who was brilliant and intolerant of any show of egoism from anyone. My people! It broke my heart when the pandemic hit because I never got to say goodbye to any of them.
