The potential saboteur should discover what types of faults are normally found in their kind of work and should then devise their sabotage so as to enlarge that 'margin for error.'
The entire modern internet has been built on platforms that don’t believe in asking for consent. What if we started demanding a culture of consent online? https://www.anildash.com//2025/05/27/2025-05-27-internet-of-consent/
Good. If you don't make it hard to be a fascist, the fascists will make it hard for you to exist at all.

Two different approaches to debugging a software problem:
The Sudoku approach: stare at the limited set of clues you have, and think harder and harder about them until you find a way to deduce something useful.
The Minesweeper approach: don't even try to figure out the solution from only the clues you have right now. Instead, focus on finding a way to acquire another clue, and then using that to get another, and so on. Eventually you've collected so many clues that the answer is obvious.
Sometimes the Sudoku approach is necessary, because you've got all the clues you're ever going to get. But I think my new motto is "Never Sudoku a problem when you can Minesweeper it."

A reasonable amount of humor in the presentation of suggestions for simple sabotage will relax tensions of fear.
A state of mind should be encouraged that anything can be sabotaged.
the most important message to get in a multi-geek household:
"hey do you have a $RANDOM_PORT to $SOME_OTHER_PORT cable?"
