Pretty good, or not too bad, depending on the day. I'm almost finished editing the final draft of my quirky cosy apocalyptic fantasy novella, and I've got about 13k words of a new project done, and have started the second draft of a victoriana-ish steampunk-ish murder mystery.

Most of the folks contributing to this hashtag write fiction. We tend to forget that Dr. Johnson didn't: he's best remembered as a lexicographer, but also as an editor, biographer, literary critic, etc.

In other words, his chosen fields all prioritized structure and research.

So he was RIGHT … but only in his own context: your experience may differ!

I try to buy from independent bookstores as much as possible, or from small presses. The evil overlord of the internet is the last resort, but sometimes the only option.

The weather here has been predictably wet and soggy, but it does make for some suitably gothic photography.
