the unifying policy of Republicans is social murder
The political theory of "everyone is twelve now" really is undefeated. None of this propaganda makes any sense until you realize the target audience never intellectually or emotionally developed past middle school. Just picture a bunch of giddy kids clapping along like "haha the turtle has an RPG, and they've photoshop Santa hats onto the secret police". That's their voters.

In short: This single sentence is the cornerstone of the German legal order.
It sets a binding moral and legal foundation: the state exists for the person, not the other way around.

The first sentence of the German constitution (Grundgesetz für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland, i.e. Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany) is:
Human dignity shall be inviolable.
In German: „Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar.“
I don't really have any religious faith, but this comes as close as it gets to being my "article of faith".
Let me explain why...

The Public Interest Research Group purchased a load of Generative AI kids toys flooding the US market, and found they tell kids Chinese propaganda and have no guardrails for topics like sex etc. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/ai-toys-gift-present-safe-kids-robot-child-miko-grok-alilo-miiloo-rcna246956
This kind of reporting really bothers me: https://apnews.com/article/utah-labor-unions-collective-bargaining-repeal-a84267e0c9bff480a648aacc79c1bc7c
Yes, it gets some of the basic facts down: the Utah legislature passed a law restricting collective bargaining by public-sector unions. Yes it was unpopular with the unions. Yes the legislature just repealed it.
But guess what happened in between that is not in this article *AT ALL*: 320,000 Utahns signed petitions to put a repeal on the ballot! That's 10% of the state's population! 200% as many signatures as the repeal effort needed!
The legislature just did this to save face, it was going to be really embarrassing when their highly unpopular law suffered a crushing defeat at the ballot box next fall.
So what this article is missing is that yes, even in a state with a supermajority of one party in the legislature, get the people together, and yes, they still do have the power.
One of the big differences between the US and the EU is that, in the US, freedom means "the freedom to do whatever you want", while, in the EU, we define freedom as "freedom to not be exploited by people who thinks they can do whatever they want". People in the EU largely supports regulations!

- under ~20 followers and over ~5:1 follow ratio
- sense of urgency
- appeals to your compassion
- piggybacks on a trending post or event
I've seen an uptick in links to Substack lately, so here's yet another reminder:
Substack is a transphobic, pro-Nazi platform. Many of will not follow links to it. We are not giving that place any eyeballs or clicks.
Publishing there, or linking to it, helps the Nazi site owners. Please don't do it.

Y’all, you know I avoid the HellSite like it was a plague pit, but a dozen or more people have sent me this, and .... wow. More of this please. Stand up to the lies in broad daylight. Tell the world with your whole chest what monsters this administration has unleashed.
